“The Professor,” Nate Campbell, began playing drums at the age of six under the influence of his father.  His love for drumming and music led him to many contests and honor festivals throughout high school which gave him the encouragement to study music and percussion in college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  Nate studied with Al Rometo, Tony Falcone, and John DeStefano during his undergraduate and gradute studies at the university.  He is now the marching percussion instructor at UNL since 2002 and is a professor of percussion and conducts the percussion ensemble at Concordia University since 2004.

Nate has been with “The Hill” since December of 2004.  His love for modern country rock started then and has grown ever since.  There aren’t many drummers that get to play every weekend for hundreds of people each night.  Each one of the six other personalities he shares the stage with shows their love for the game every night which is one of the greatest pleasures any musician can experience.  Nate truly feels lucky to have a career that never grows old…  “The Professor” will see you all again from his side of the smoke!!!
